About Me



HI, I’M CATRINA.

I’m a busy mom of 3 young kids, a former police officer, a wife to a Lieutenant with a local Police Department and a Personal Trainer. This is supposed to be the part where I go on to tell you how much I’ve loved fitness, eating right and working out my entire life. That I’ve never struggled with my weight, how staying fit is easy for me and how it should be easy for you too!

BUT THAT’S SIMPLY NOT THE TRUTH.

The real truth is, following a cancer diagnosis of two close family members in the same year, I struggled with serious depression and hid it behind a food addiction. After a few years, I no longer recognized the person I used to be…fit, healthy and happy. I knew I needed a major change and decided to start a Couch to 5K program. That decision led to another fitness commitment shortly thereafter and workout after workout, my story began to change.

My experience taught me that when you connect with the right workout and make a real commitment to a program, you’ll see the results you’ve been working so hard to achieve. I’ve worked around odd work schedules, being busy with kids, recovering from an injury and even pregnancy.

Catrina Before and AfterI am Certified as a Personal Trainer, AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America) Group Fitness Certified, Pilates Certified, Turbo Kick Certified, CIZE Certified, NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified as well as a Total Mommy Fitness Certification to work with pregnant women and postpartum moms. I’m passionate about helping others in the Grand Rapids area reach their healthiest potential because I know too well how it feels to be on the other side of a strong and active lifestyle.
